SGA has long years’ experience and knowhow in the agglomeration of iron ores and other raw materials. Since 1964, concentrates and fines from various customers around the world have been pelletised or sintered at SGA's facilities. The automated pot-grate unit can be used for the simulation of pelletizing processes comprising product development and optimization for blast furnace and direct reduction pellets. The sintering test unit is used for the sintering of various concentrates and fines as well as for recycling materials as dust and waste materials.
The key objectives for agglomeration studies are product development, improvement in product quality, productivity and energy consumption as well as optimization of process parameters.
